Bentonite Clay Fine Powder 99+% Purity

Bentonite clay is a natural sodium montmorillonite clay, supplied here as an ultrafine 325 mesh powder at 99+% purity, unbleached and without additives. The source material is stated at over 92% montmorillonite with a cation exchange capacity above 100 meq/100 g. It swells and gels quickly when wetted, mixing to a smooth paste without grit.

Sodium bentonite is used as a plasticizer and suspension agent in ceramic bodies and glazes, as a binder in foundry sand and ore pelletizing, and as the base for cosmetic face and body masks. It also serves as a clarifier and sealing agent.
