Flint/Silica Quartz Powder SiO₂ 270 Mesh 99+% Purity

Flint, or silica quartz powder (SiO₂), is milled to 270 mesh at 99+% purity. In ceramics it is the usual source of free silica in clay bodies and glazes, controlling thermal expansion, hardening the fired surface and adjusting glaze fit.

The same powder is used as a glassmaking and frit raw material, as a refractory and foundry ingredient, and as a mineral filler in paints, sealants and composites. The 270 mesh grind gives a consistent fine texture that suspends and blends without gritty inclusions.
