Manganese Carbonate Ultrafine Powder 99+% Purity Lab Grade

Manganese carbonate is supplied as an ultrafine lab grade powder at 99+% purity. It is soluble in acids and converts to manganese oxide on heating, which is why it is a common starting material for other manganese compounds in chemical synthesis, ferrite production and battery materials.

In ceramics and glass it is used as a colorant, giving browns, purples and pinks depending on the host and firing atmosphere, and it is often chosen over the dioxide where a softer, more evenly dispersed color is wanted. The fine particle size increases surface area and reaction rate.
