Gum Arabic (Acacia Gum) Fine Powder

Gum arabic, also called acacia gum, is a natural water-soluble gum tapped from acacia trees and supplied here as a fine powder in a 1 lb quantity. It dissolves readily in water to give a solution that dries to a hard, transparent film.

It is used as a binder for pigments in watercolor and other paints, as an adhesive in craft and conservation work, as a stabilizer and emulsifier in food and beverage production, as a tablet binder in pharmaceutical work, and as a binder in pyrotechnic compositions.
