Features a medium to full bodied coffee with a balanced aroma, the mild chocolaty body is accented by Meyer lemon and apricot tanginess, with a toasted marshmallow-like sweetness. Pleasant balanced acidity is mild yet lively. An excellent top-quality coffee well worth investing in!
This coffee comes from the highlands between mountain range Isabela and Lake El Dorado. This coffee estate project was initiated in 1998 by two entrepreneurial women, 4th generation in the coffee business. The farm was deforested property product of war that has since been rehabilitated. Santa Rita is committed to developing a vision of a sustainable community. Processing method using natural fermentation process, washing with clean water on a running channel, sun-dried, resting for 60 days.
This high-grown Nicaraguan coffee is attracting deserved attention in the world of specialty-coffee as a respectable offering from Central America. It is unique in the fact that it is among the highest grown coffees in the Central America growing regions achieving the status of SHG grade (Strictly High Grown). Coffees with this qualification do not develop the pronounced sharp acidity of lower grown coffees. You will find this to be an all-around great coffee with that genuine ‘coffee’ taste that you may be looking for. These organically grown Nicaraguan coffees are sweet, mild, and pleasantly chocolatey.
