Dibutyl Pthalate (99%) Lab Grade

Dibutyl phthalate is a laboratory-grade ester at 99 percent purity, supplied as a clear, oily liquid of low volatility and good chemical stability. Its principal role is as a plasticizer, adding flexibility and reducing brittleness in cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, PVC and other polymer systems.

Formulators use it in adhesives, sealants, printing inks, lacquers and coatings, where it improves film formation and workability. It also functions as a solvent and carrier for resins and dyes in laboratory formulation work, and as a reference plasticizer in polymer and materials testing.
