Dioctyl Adipate (99%) Lab Grade

Dioctyl adipate is an adipate diester supplied at 99 percent purity, a clear liquid with low volatility and good thermal stability. It is compatible with a broad range of resins and polymers and holds its properties over long service.

It is used chiefly as a low-temperature plasticizer for PVC and other flexible polymers, retaining pliability where phthalate plasticizers stiffen, which puts it in cable insulation, films, synthetic leather and gaskets. Other uses include lubricant and hydraulic fluid base stocks, emollient esters in cosmetic formulation, and challenge aerosol generation for filter integrity testing.
