16oz Oleic Acid 99+% Purity

Oleic acid at 99+% purity, supplied as a 16 oz quantity of pale yellow liquid. It is a monounsaturated fatty acid, the principal fatty acid of olive oil, and this material is reagent grade rather than a food product.

Formulators use it as an emollient and co-emulsifier in creams, lotions and soaps, and as a penetration aid in topical preparations. Industrially it appears as a lubricant and cutting fluid additive, a flotation collector in ore processing, and a starting material for metal soaps and surfactants. It oxidizes slowly on exposure to air.
