Glycerol/Glycerin (99%) Lab Grade

Glycerol, also sold as glycerin, is a clear, colorless, odorless liquid supplied here at 99 percent purity in lab grade. It is viscous and hygroscopic, miscible with water and alcohols, and stable enough to serve as a general-purpose solvent and carrier.

Common uses include humectant and emollient functions in creams, lotions and other cosmetic formulations, a solvent and vehicle for active ingredients in pharmaceutical preparations, and a sweetener and moisture-retention additive in food. It is also used as a plasticizer and in cryoprotectant and staining solutions in the laboratory.
